how do we solve more complex rational equation problem

to solve a more complex equation is very easy when you have the basics down.
say you had a problem like
1/x + 1/2x= 1/6x this looks complicating but its not
  1. what we want to do is get rid of the denominator and the best way is to make them common
  2. to make 1/x have a 6x so we multiply by 6 to both the numerator and denominator this give us : 6/6x
  3. we do the same with 1/2x but we multiply both the numerator and denominator by 3 to give us : 3/6x
  4. now we just cross out the denominator and we are left 6+3 = 1x
we add both 6+3 to give us 9=1x
we have to 1 divide one from both sides to give us 9=x
